Vesti, the Nigerian-founded global mobility and legal technology company, is entering a new phase of growth, expanding beyond immigration services to build an AI-native legal platform for individuals, founders, startups and organisations.
The company, which has built its reputation helping professionals and founders navigate global talent and mobility opportunities, is now broadening its platform to cover a wider range of legal needs, including company incorporation, contracts, intellectual property, licensing and other legal workflows.
The expansion is built around Vesti’s vision of making legal support more accessible and easier to navigate through technology.
Its newly expanded digital platform combines artificial intelligence with access to human legal professionals. At the centre of the platform is Zyra, Vesti’s AI legal assistant, which is designed to help users understand their legal issues, identify potential next steps, generate documents and determine when a matter requires human legal expertise.
The platform currently allows users to explore a range of legal needs, from registering a company and protecting intellectual property to preparing contracts and addressing workplace or landlord-related issues. Vesti says Zyra is designed to help users move from describing a legal problem to understanding their options and taking the next appropriate step.
The company is not, however, moving away from the global mobility market that helped establish its position.
Vesti continues to invest in its Global Talent offering, using AI to analyse a person’s career and achievement signals, identify potentially relevant immigration pathways, develop evidence roadmaps and connect applicants with legal professionals for review and petition preparation.
Its migration platform currently supports pathways including the US O-1A, EB-1A and EB-2 NIW, the UK Global Talent route and Canadian pathways including Express Entry and the Canada Talent Visa.
For Vesti, the expansion represents an evolution rather than a departure from its original business.
“Immigration was the beginning, not the destination,” said Olusola Amusan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vesti, who is also taking on the role of Chief AI Officer.
Amusan said the company’s experience helping talented people navigate international mobility had exposed a much broader set of legal and operational challenges faced by people building careers, companies and lives across borders.
The new direction seeks to address those challenges by bringing more legal workflows onto one technology platform — from determining an immigration pathway to incorporating a company, protecting intellectual property, securing licences and preparing legal documents.
The shift also comes as artificial intelligence begins to change how consumers and businesses access professional services. Rather than positioning AI as a replacement for lawyers, Vesti’s platform combines automated assistance with human expertise, allowing more straightforward legal workflows to be handled digitally while matters requiring professional judgement can be escalated to legal experts.
For founders and startups operating in increasingly global markets, that model could be particularly relevant. Company formation, intellectual property protection, contracts, licensing and immigration can often become interconnected as businesses expand across countries and hire or relocate talent.
Vesti’s new platform is therefore positioning legal support as part of the infrastructure people need to move, build and operate in a global economy.
The company’s evolution reflects a broader shift in African technology, where startups that initially solve a specific problem are increasingly using artificial intelligence to expand into adjacent services and build more comprehensive platforms around their customers.
For Vesti, the next phase is about taking the experience it developed in global mobility and applying it to a much larger legal landscape.
The company is now positioning itself not simply as an immigration technology provider, but as an AI-native legal platform designed to help individuals and businesses understand, prepare for and navigate the legal processes that come with building and operating in a global economy.
